Free setup & migration
Switching from spreadsheets or another platform is the scary part — so we do it for you. We move your whole league in — rosters, waivers, fees, players — before your first season, at no cost. You don't set anything up alone.
The switching questions, answered
We run everything in spreadsheets today. How painful is switching?
Not very — spreadsheets are exactly what our importer was built for. You export what you have (or send it to us as-is), we map the columns, and your players, teams, and contact info come across. In fact, we do the whole migration with you as part of your free setup — you're not left mapping columns alone.
Can we switch mid-season?
Yes, though most leagues prefer to start fresh at registration time. If you're mid-season, we import your current rosters and schedule so nothing is lost, and parents simply get an invite to the portal. We'll be honest with you about whether mid-season or next-season makes more sense for your situation.
We use TeamSnap. Can you import from it?
Yes — TeamSnap exports to CSV, and we import rosters, teams, and contact details from it. Schedule history and old messages stay in TeamSnap, but everything you need to run the next season comes with you.
What happens to parent and player data if we leave?
It's your data, full stop. You can export everything — players, contacts, registrations, payment records — to CSV at any time, no phone call required. If you close your account, we delete your league's data after a 30-day grace period.
Where is our data stored? Parents will ask.
Data protection matters double when most of your players are kids. Your league's data is encrypted in transit and at rest, we collect only what a league actually needs, and we never sell or share it. Our privacy policy spells out data residency and Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA / BC PIPA) in plain English — send it to any parent who asks.
How does payment processing work? Do you touch the money?
Registration fees go through Stripe directly into your league's account — we never hold your money. Stripe's processing fee applies (about 2.9% + 30¢ per card payment), which is the same rate you'd pay with any modern payment platform.
How does LeagueMgmt itself get paid — is there a contract?
It's a simple subscription. Your league pays one flat price for the platform, billed either season-by-season or annually — whichever your board prefers — and you can cancel anytime. No multi-year contracts, no setup fees, no lock-in. This is separate from parent registration fees, which flow straight to your league's own Stripe account; the subscription is just the league paying for the software. Setup and migration are included at no extra charge — we move your league in for you before you pay for a season.
What if our volunteers aren't technical?
The whole product is built around the assumption that the person running it is a volunteer with a day job. If your registrar can use email and a spreadsheet, they can run LeagueMgmt. And you have a direct line to the founder — not a support portal — when anything is confusing.
